The Youth Food Lab (YFL) is a global initiative launched in 2023 by the World Food Forum (WFF) in partnership with Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and the International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences (IAAS). It is designed as a platform and incubator for young innovators who want to turn their ideas into transformative projects that help end hunger and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Purpose and Mission

  • The YFL supports youth-led innovation focused on sustainable food systems and agrifood transformation.

  • It helps young people advance their ideas from early concepts to impact and real-world implementation.

  • The program aims to scale solutions that make agrifood systems more resilient, inclusive, and future-ready.

MadziTech participated in the 8-month FAO business incubator program, Youth Food Lab. At the flagship event in October, MadziTech pitched for the second time and spoke to represent youth in water solutions.
